Alma has been awarded a 2012 ASCAP Young Jazz Composer Award for her composition Full House. This piece was premiered at the Killingworth Jazz Night Out event in February.



For her senior year, Alma has been chosen as a participant in Choate’s Signature Academic Program - Capstone. This program enables students to concentrate on a yearlong project and to choose courses pertinent to it. Alma’s project will involve writing poetry in English and French as well as writing incidental music for the reading/performance of the work in the spring of 2013.

RECENT PERFORMANCES

Alma brought her trio as the opener for Eddie Allen at the Killingworth Arts Center's Jazz Night Out on Saturday, February 18th. This sold-out concert took place at the beautiful and historic Ivoryton Theater.


Pittsfield City Jazz Festival
Alma was in performance at the Pittsfield City Jazz Festival in MA on Wednesday, October 12th. The performance took place at the Berkshire Music School, Taft Recital Hall. Alma was the first performer in the Festival's " 1st Piano Prodigy Series". Joining Alma was Jimmy Macbride, drums & Matt Dwonszyk, bass with special guest Kyle Athayde on trumpet.


Jazz Standard Youth Orchestra - Jazz Standard, NYC
Performing every other Sunday with this group at the venerable jazz club.
